Ingredients

THE WEEK

Buy ready marinated in store this week from Monday 28th February

 

900g  Skinless chicken drumsticks or thigh pieces (2lbs)

4tsp (14g) HDM SPICE SHOP Tandoori Spice mix

90ml  Plain Yogurt

3tsp  Tomato Puree

55g  Fresh root Ginger (remove skin)

55g  Fresh Garlic (remove skin)

5  Fresh Green Chillies (Trim off stalks)

 

Method

 

  1. 1.       Put the chicken pieces in a bowl ready to add marinate

  2. 2.       For the marinate, add spice mix, yogurt, Tomato puree, spices,  garlic, ginger & green chillies together, then       liquidize in a blender.

  3. 3.       Pour sauce mixture over the chicken pieces, mix and leave to marinate for 4-6 hours, or overnight in the fridge.

  4. 4.       Pre-heat  oven on Gas mark 5, 190ºC (375ºF)

  5. 5.       Place a wire rack on a baking sheet ,then place all the chicken pieces on it. 

  6. 6.       Place in the centre of the oven for 60—8o mins. Turn the chicken pieces every 20mins and discard the excess  liquid. (Smaller pieces will cook faster and larger cuts will take longer)

  7. 7.       Serve the chicken on a bed of salad and with your choice of dip or sauce.
